Hot take: my $8 silicone basket liner saved my salmon after I burned the parchment
I was pulling a late shift Thursday and threw two salmon fillets in at 390 for 12 minutes on parchment. The parchment curled up and touched the top coil in my 5.8 quart basket and the whole thing smoked up my kitchen. Grabbed the silicone liner I got for $8 at a kitchen store in Boise, dropped the fish in, and went 375 for 10. No flare up, no drama, and the skin came out crisp. Does parchment curling happen to anyone else, or am I just loading the basket too full?
