Just realized my air fryer does frozen wings way better than my old oven method
I used to bake frozen wings at 400 for 45 minutes and they came out soggy on one side and dry on the other. Last Tuesday I tossed them in my air fryer at 380 for 25 minutes, flipping halfway, and they got that crispy skin without any oil spray. My roommate even said they tasted like takeout, which never happened with the oven. Has anyone else switched over for frozen appetizers specifically, or is it just me?
Man, air fryers are the truth for frozen stuff, no doubt. But here's the thing nobody's talking about: the texture of the breading changes completely. Ovens steam the coating from the inside out, so you get that weird chewy layer under the crisp. Air fryers basically dehydrate the whole thing evenly, which is why they taste like they been fried twice. Also, you can toss them in a lil buffalo sauce at the very end and they stay crunchy, try that with the oven and it's a soggy mess every time.
