My air fryer wings came out raw in the middle at 9pm on a Tuesday and I almost gave up on the whole thing
I was at my apartment in Tucson last Tuesday, starving, and threw 12 frozen wings in the basket at 380 for 18 minutes like always. Bit into one and the middle was still pink and cold, so I pulled them all out and actually checked the internal temp with my meat thermometer, which I never do for wings. Turns out my old air fryer was running about 40 degrees colder than the dial said, so I bumped it to 400 and gave them 6 more minutes in two batches instead of one crowded pile. They came out crispy and fully cooked at 175 internal, and now I temp everything before I trust the dial. Has anyone else had a fryer that just lies about its temp, and did you fix it or toss it?
