Digital torque wrenches vs the old dial type on a busy line
Honestly, after 5 years comparing both on 737 landing gear jobs, I'm done with the digital ones. Dial types let me feel the click and read the needle even with greasy gloves, plus they don't die mid-task. Anyone else swapped back after a battery failure cost them a re-torque cycle?

Digital ones log every torque value automatically, which saves the paperwork headache when quality control comes sniffing around. The battery argument gets old too, a fresh set lasts months if you actually charge them on schedule instead of leaving it in a drawer. Greasy gloves readouts are bright and clear, plus the beep cuts through shop noise better than a needle you gotta squint at.
