Hardwired vs wireless... I still don't get the wireless hype
Did a big install last month at a warehouse in Cleveland, owner insisted on all wireless sensors to save on labor. Three weeks later and we're replacing batteries on half the motion detectors... plus two false alarms from signal interference. Has anyone else had better luck with wireless in commercial spaces, or is it just me?

Ran into a similar problem a few years back in a school gymnasium, ended up putting the receivers up in the ceiling instead of the wiring closet and it cut down the interference issues by a lot. The real kicker nobody talks about is that wireless sensors need way more careful placement than wired ones, you can't just slap them anywhere and expect them to work. Commercial spaces with metal shelving or concrete walls will eat your signal alive. If the owner is dead set on wireless next time, maybe suggest a hybrid setup with critical zones hardwired and the rest wireless so you're not changing batteries every time someone walks by.
