That pixel peeper on YouTube ruined my alien video and made it way better
I posted a clip of a tumbling metallic object over Phoenix from my roof cam and got wrecked in the comments. One guy zoomed in on the glint and said it was just a Mylar balloon with a SpaceX tracker, and he was partly right about the glare source. I started shooting at 120fps with a fixed exposure after that, and my next clip actually held up because the motion blur stopped hiding the shape. Now I check flight paths and launch schedules before I even hit record. Does anyone else pre-check their footage before posting or do you just throw it up raw and let the mob sort it out?
That SpaceX tracker detail is brutal, the mob basically did your homework for free. I just post mine raw and let the internet tell me my backyard light is a Starlink train for the tenth time.
