The $300 eBay "gravity drive" cube vs the $30 toy from a pawn shop, guess which one had real tech
So I spent 2 months chasing this cube thing from a seller in Tucson. It had all the right marks, weird faint hum, got cold when you held it, video looked like it was bending light. Paid $300 plus shipping. Then my buddy finds this little green spinning top at a pawn shop for $30 and says it floats a bit when you wind it up. I laughed. That thing hovered 3 inches off my table for 8 seconds on camera. The cube just sat there doing nothing. Now I'm wondering if the real stuff is always hiding in junk piles while the clever fakes get the good listings. Has anybody else had a cheap find beat out an expensive one? What's the tell you look for before you drop cash on this stuff now?
