Unpopular opinion: That viral 'alien drone' clip from 3 weeks ago was debunked by a guy with a $12 app, and the second clip everyone shared proved it
I spent three hours last Saturday going frame by frame on two versions of that 'drone' clip everyone shared, one from a UFO page and one from the original uploader. The UFO page version had extra motion blur added around the edges that the original never had, and you can spot it at the 0:14 mark where the tree branches smear weird. I ran both through a free motion tracking app on my phone and the blurred one had tracking data that didn't match the background at all. If you're gonna share these, grab the original upload every time, because the reuploads are where the fakes hide. Has anyone else noticed that the faked copies almost always have that soft glow on the edges?
