Heard a guy at the Austin con last month say filler arcs 'don't count' and now I check who I'm talking to
Honestly he said it right in the middle of a panel line, loud enough that three people turned around, and it made me watch how I bring up pacing with strangers. Tbh it's fine to skip stuff, but calling whole stretches of a show 'not real' feels like a fast way to end a good chat before it starts. Ngl, has anyone else run into this at a con or a meetup, and how do you steer it back to actual discussion?
