Shoutout to the guy on episode 7 who said skip the filler
I was stuck on a 200-episode shonen and almost quit around episode 40. Some random Redditor told me to just look up a filler list and skip anything not in the manga. I did that last month, cut about 30 episodes out, and finally hit the arc everyone keeps talking about. Now I'm caught up and actually enjoying the weekly releases. Anyone else find that skipping filler made a long show way better, or do you power through everything?
Man, filler lists are a lifesaver. I watched Bleach back in the day before those lists were everywhere and I burned out hard on those random beach episodes and weird side arcs that went nowhere. Once I started checking the manga canon before starting a show, everything changed. You get the real story the author actually wrote, and the pacing feels way tighter. Plus, you can always go back and watch the filler later if you're really bored and just want more time with the characters, but you don't have to suffer through it to get to the good stuff. Skipping is the smart move, no question.
