My landlord's lease had one line that saved me $475 when I moved out of my place in Denver
I was packing up my old spot on Federal Blvd and the landlord tried to keep $475 from my deposit for "wall scuffs" that were already there when I moved in. Then I remembered a line buried on page 6 of the lease that said normal wear and tear can't be charged. I pulled out the move-in photos I took on day one and he cut a check that same afternoon. Does anyone else photograph every wall and corner before unpacking, or am I the only one who learned this the hard way?
