My super in Queens said skip the fancy outlet strips and just use the wall, so now I want to hear both sides
When I moved into my place in Astoria last spring, my super Ray looked at my mess of power strips and said 'kid, your walls already have outlets, you're just hiding them behind the couch.' I moved the couch 8 inches, found two outlets I never knew about, and stopped tripping over cords within a week. But my neighbor swears by his $40 surge protector strip and says I'm gonna fry my laptop one day. So which is it, free outlets or a strip for safety? Curious what folks here actually do.
