Guy at a parts counter in Dayton told me to always spin the drain pump by hand before he rings it up
I laughed it off, then spent 90 minutes on a callback last month because a washer pump had a cracked impeller that ran fine dry and bound up only under a full load. Now the hand spin is the first thing I do at the counter, but how many of you check it on the bench before the truck rolls?
