TIL a trick for those stubborn dryer drum rollers

Had a Kenmore dryer last week where the drum wouldn't turn, and the usual suspects checked out fine. Turns out the plastic glides on the front drum ring were so worn they were letting the whole drum sag and bind. Replaced those and a $3 roller, good as new. Anyone else run into that one?

Honestly I always blamed the rollers for everything... but that front ring wear can really throw things off.

You said "plastic glides on the front drum ring". Those are usually called the front drum slides or pads. Good catch on finding that wear though, it's an easy one to miss.

My buddy's dryer started squeaking and it was those same plastic slides worn down.
