Dropped $75 on a cheap pinpointer before a dig in Tucson, and it beeped at my own boots for 3 hours
Bought a cheap pinpointer for $75 at a swap meet before a dig outside Tucson, and it went off on my own boots every time I crouched down. I dug 14 holes that day and found one rusty nail and half a horse shoe. Turns out the thing was set way too hot for our soil and I never checked the manual. Anyone have a budget pinpointer that actually works in dry dirt, or do I just save up for the real thing?
