Tried the self checkout at Menards over the staffed lane and I'll say it - the machine is worse
I had 14 items last Friday and the self checkout flagged 3 of them for a weight check, then froze up on a bag of mulch. The guy working the lane had to reset the thing twice while a line built up behind me. I get that stores want to save on labor but at this point I'd rather wait for a real cashier who can just scan and go. Am I the only one who picks the long staffed line on purpose now?
Curious how long you actually waited in that staffed line before you decided it was worth it? I've done the same thing but always wonder if I'm just being stubborn.
