Last night's photo session turned into a comedy of errors thanks to my autoguider.
Spent hours setting up only for the autoguider to chase a satellite instead of a star.

Isn't tracking a satellite... actually kinda cool, @jana_sanchez96?

Bruh, it chased a SATELLITE? How bright was that thing, did it look like a plane or something? My old guider would totally freak out over the ISS and ruin a whole sequence.

That thing was stupid bright, like a UFO meme come to life lol. Your guider freaking over the ISS is such a mood, mine used to treat any passing plane like an asteroid impact. This satellite looked like a angry star someone threw across the sky, no flashing lights or anything. Bet it gave some random government sensor a panic attack before it burned up.

Saw a report that a Starlink flare hit magnitude -4 last week. That's brighter than Venus, so no wonder it looked like a UFO. Those flat panels can really catch the sun just right.
