Re-shot Orion Nebula 3 nights apart, what changed between them?
Shot the Orion Nebula Monday night with my 8" dob and DSLR. Got a decent 45 frames. Last night I tried again, same spot in my backyard, same settings, same gear. The stars look sharper and the nebula seems bigger and more defined. Only difference is the moon was up Monday, not last night. Also it was colder and there was less dew. Is that enough to make that kind of jump in quality, or did I just get luckier with atmospheric seeing? Has anyone else noticed a huge swing just from one clear night to the next?
