Vent: wasted $180 on a "paintless" dent guy who just drilled holes and plugged them
Had a golf ball ding on the rear quarter of a 2016 Civic. Guy quoted $180, said no paint, no filler. Watched him drill two 3/8 inch holes behind the panel, poke a rod in, and shove rubber plugs in after. Two weeks later the plugs shrank and now I got water getting in the trunk. Body shop quoted $650 to pull the quarter and weld the holes shut. If a dent guy wants to drill into your panel, walk away. Has anyone here actually seen a paintless repair that held up long term?
