That one Thursday in March at Johnson's Auto on Route 9

Had a 2015 F-150 come in with a ticking noise that sounded like a lifter, but it ended up being a cracked exhaust manifold. Three hours of chasing my tail on that one before I figured it out. Customer thanked me with a $50 tip and a case of Coors Light. Has anyone else had a job that looked easy but turned into a major headache?

Actually, the three hours was just for diagnosing it, not the repair.

Man, I gotta disagree there. Three hours to figure out a exhaust manifold issue seems like a lot of time just for the diagnostic part, even if the actual fix was quick.

Three hours on an exhaust manifold? Sounds like a slow day if that's what you call a headache.
