My lead signed off on a wire routing I almost tore out, and he was right
I had a connector job last Tuesday where a bundle kept chafing on a rib, and I was ready to reroute the whole run. My lead, Ray, walked over, looked at it maybe 10 seconds, and asked if I checked the clamp spacing on the drawing. Turned out I needed two more clamps at 6 inch gaps instead of redoing 4 feet of loom, which saved me about 3 hours. It hit different since I've been doing this 11 years and still jump to the big fix first. Any of you catch yourself going straight to the heavy repair before checking the simple stuff?

Did you see that old machinist saying about checking the cheap stuff first before tearing into the expensive stuff? Ray basically ran that play on you and saved your whole afternoon.
