Rant: High Pass Trail is not where it's supposed to be
Tried hiking it last week and the marked route totally disappeared after the first creek. There's a new scramble section that feels unsafe, with no info online. What's the deal, is this a permanent change or just trail work?

Check the north side of the creek about fifty yards downstream, that's where they rerouted it last fall. I totally wiped out looking for the old path too, until a ranger told me about the change. The new scramble is permanent, @reese_hayes71, so our old maps are pretty much useless now. Look for the small cairns and the faded orange forestry tape, it's not well marked but it is the official trail. That section is rough but gets better after the first steep bit.
