Water filter broke on day 2 of a 9 day trip, old school method saved me
My Sawyer clogged solid somewhere past the Trinity Alps and I spent 4 hours boiling water over a twig fire for one liter. Carried a backup iodine kit ever since, costs 12 bucks and weighs nothing. Anyone else ditched the pumps for chemical treatment after a field failure?
