Warning: my paver patio sank 2 inches after 8 days because I skipped the base tamp
Put in a 12x14 patio behind my garage in Mesa over Memorial Day week. Rented a plate compactor for 4 hours, got the 3/4 base down, and called it good after two passes. Fast forward 8 days and the edge near my hose spigot is dipping bad. Turns out two passes on 4 inches of base does nothing. Should I pull the sunk section and redo it with lifts, or is there a way to save this without ripping up the border?
