My sourdough starter went from hooch soup to doubling in 5 hours after I changed one thing
For about 8 months my starter would rise maybe 30% and then fall flat, and I kept blaming the flour. Turns out my kitchen was sitting at 66F all winter, so I moved the jar to the top of the fridge and it doubled in 5 hours the very next bake. Anyone else fight their starter all winter before realizing it was just cold?
