DAE remember when a librarian in Ohio warned me about a 'controversial' book pulling me into a whole reading list?
Back in March 2019, the school librarian in Dayton told me to grab The Perks of Being a Wallflower before it got pulled, because the challenges would make it hard to find later. She was right. Within two years our district pulled it from the shelf after 3 parent complaints, and I ended up hunting down a used copy at a bookstore in Columbus for $12. Now I keep a running list of challenged titles and check my local library every few weeks, because they disappear quietly. Has anyone else had a librarian tip them off like that, and what did you do with it?
