I thought the ban on those little magnetic desk toys was silly until my nephew swallowed two
When the recall news hit back in 2014 about those small magnetic ball sets, I rolled my eyes and figured it was lawyers being lawyers. Then last weekend my sister's kid, who is 4, got into a set his older brother had hidden in a drawer and swallowed two of the balls. He ended up at the children's hospital in Omaha for 3 days while they watched for his intestines pinching together. I sat in that waiting room and read the actual recall notice on my phone and felt like a jerk for ever doubting it. So where do you all draw the line between a product that's truly dangerous and one that just got a bad lawyer?
