PSA: my buddy read the recall notice on my crappy dehumidifier after the fire started
My neighbor Frank saw smoke coming from my basement unit last month and pulled the manual before I even thought to check it, turns out the model had a 2021 recall for overheating coils that I never got notified about. He pointed at the serial number and said "this is why you keep the paperwork," which made me realize I throw everything away the second I plug it in. Anyone else ignoring recall lists until something literally catches fire, or am I the only one who needs to start scanning those fridge magnets?
Man, that charger must've been serious. My buddy's phone blew up in his cup holder once and now he treats his truck like a bomb shelter. @king.val, you'd think Frank was packing nitro in there with how careful he is now. Guess one fire is all it takes to turn a guy into a walking safety inspector.
