Warning: my imported baby soap got pulled and my son broke out in hives
Last month I ordered a three pack of that French baby soap everyone raves about online. It arrived fine, smelled like lavender, seemed gentle. My son used it for four days and then his whole back turned red and scaly. I checked the box again and noticed the ingredient list had no English translation, just a tiny sticker covering the original label. Turns out the FDA recalled this exact batch in 2021 for undeclared methylisothiazolinone, a preservative banned in cosmetics across the EU. The seller on Amazon never mentioned that history. I filed a complaint with the marketplace and they only gave me a refund after I pushed twice. Has anyone else gotten burned by "imported" personal care products that slipped through customs checks?
