Had a Tuesday last week where I booked 8 haircuts in a row and every single one was a solid no-complaint client.
I don't know what was in the water but from 9am to 3pm it was all regulars who knew exactly what they wanted. No showing up late, no asking for a complete redesign halfway through, no griping about the price. The last guy even tipped $15 on a $25 cut. Has anyone else ever had a day where everything just clicks like that?

$15 on a $25 cut? That's like a 60% tip, I'd have to sit down after that lol. I've had good days but never a streak of 8 people all being chill, that's practically unheard of in any service job. Honestly the universe probably owed you one after whatever nightmare you dealt with the week before.

I don't know, some folks really do just tip well consistently. I've had runs where 6 out of 8 people leave 30% or more on simple haircuts, and it's not about luck. It's about building a regular clientele who appreciate what you do and want to show it. The last guy who gave me a 20 on a 30 cut had been coming to me for two years and told me I saved him a trip to the chiropractor with my neck work.

Used to think a perfect day like that was just a myth people told to keep new stylists from quitting. But then I had a Tuesday almost exactly like yours last winter. Eight cuts, eight regulars, not one person tried to haggle or change their mind halfway through. The fourth guy even brought me a coffee and said he appreciated how fast I work. Really changed my whole outlook on what's possible when you've got the right clients who just show up and trust you. Now I'm a believer that those days happen if you stick around long enough.
