My uncle told me to soak the seized engine in diesel for a week, and now I'm out $85 and a gasket
He swore by it on a Ford 8N he pulled out of a shed near Athens, so I filled the cylinders on my 1952 Farmall and let it sit. A week later the crank still would not budge and the diesel ate through the old gasket, so now I'm tearing it down anyway. What is the real trick for a stuck motor, or do I just pull the head and go at it?
