Retiring my old posting routine after a 3 week test
I used to post at 7am every day because some blog said so, but after tracking engagement for 3 weeks I saw 40% more replies on my 9:30pm posts. Anyone else find their best time is way off from the usual advice?
Wait, isn't 9:30pm kind of late for most folks though? I get that night owls exist, but my own 3 week test showed way better numbers at 6:45am, which is basically the opposite of your result. I think it depends a LOT on your audience, like if you're posting for parents they're probably asleep by 9:30, but if you're posting for students they're just getting started. Maybe your crowd is night people and mine are early risers, so the "usual advice" is really just a starting point, not a rule. Either way, good on you for actually testing it instead of just trusting the blog.
