Found my old shop notebook from 1998, funny how much has changed
I was cleaning out the garage last weekend and found my notebook from when I worked at a shop in Eugene, Oregon. It had torque specs for cantilever brakes and a bunch of notes on adjusting friction shifters, stuff nobody even asks about anymore. But the part that got me was seeing how many times I wrote down the same issue with cup and cone hubs, and now I'm out here replacing entire hubs because nobody wants to repack them. Anyone else keep old repair notes and compare them to what you do now?
