Question about reusing a torque wrench after it gets dropped

I dropped my Park Tool TW-5 off the workbench last Tuesday and now the click feels off at 40 Nm. I know the manual says recalibrate, but the closest shop quoted me $60 for a check. Has anyone else just kept using a dropped wrench for basic work, or is that asking for trouble with carbon parts?
