Took a shop's advice on brake bleed, now my lever pulls to the bar
A mechanic at a shop in Dayton told me to skip the bleed and just top off mineral oil on my Shimano brakes, said it was fine for a quick fix. Two weeks later I almost hit a car when the lever went soft mid-ride, so I did a full bleed myself and found air bubbles. Has anyone else been burned by a shortcut like this, and what's your go-to method for checking a bad bleed fast?
Shop said "quick fix" and now you're playing roulette with your front bumper, classic lol. Next time trust the bubbles you can see, not the guy who can't see past his lunch break.
