The old timer in accounting who still used a flip phone saved my ass during the 2016 merger
When the whole system froze during the Oracle migration in Chicago, this guy named Dennis pulled out a paper list he'd kept since 1998 and walked me through every vendor code by hand, and I still wonder what happened to that list after they made him retire last June, has anyone else gotten rescued by somebody's ancient filing system?

Paper list from 1998 saved the day? Sounds like a one-time fluke, not some magic filing system.
