The guy at the gas station swore the moon landing was filmed in a desert, not space
I was pumping gas at a Shell off I-10 in Tucson around 2 a.m. and this older fella walks up, points at the moon, and says NASA just drove two hours to a dried-up lake bed and shot the whole thing with a projector. I asked him how the flag ripples if there's no wind, and he said they used a hidden fan that you can see in the Blu-ray remaster if you pause at the right frame. He showed me a screenshot on his cracked phone, and honestly, the shadow angles did look weird, but I still think he's mixing up a movie set with an actual mission. Has anyone else run into a stranger with a super confident but totally broken theory like that, and do you ever walk away doubting your own basic science for a minute?

That shadow angle thing gets me too, sometimes I stare at my lamp for ten minutes after.
