Appreciation post: the friend who just quietly covered the extra $12 at brunch
We were at a diner in Sacramento last month and the check came to $94 for five of us, and when the math got awkward she just put her card down and said she'd figure it out later. Nobody made it weird, nobody Venmo'd her a lecture, and she never brought it up again. Has anyone else had a friend do that, and did you pay them back without turning it into a whole thing?
