I always avoided 1930s and 40s stuff because the pacing felt like molasses, like The Thin Man nearly put me to sleep twice. Then someone in a Discord said to bump the player to 1.25x speed and suddenly the dialogue snaps, jokes land, and it feels modern without losing anything. Anyone else ever cheat old movies this way or have another setting that works?
