Vent: some dude at a retro game swap in Dayton told me my N64 cart cleaning was ruining the labels and he was right
Last Saturday at the swap meet in Dayton I was scrubbing a stack of N64 carts with a q tip and isopropyl like I always do, and this older guy leans over and says "you're pulling the ink off the corner there, try a pencil eraser first." I looked and sure enough the label on my Mario Kart 64 had a bald spot I never noticed. Now I do the eraser thing on the contacts and only touch labels with a dry cloth, and it works just as good. I hate admitting a random stranger was right about my whole routine but here we are. Anyone else got a cleaning trick from some old head at a swap that actually stuck?
