Warning: my old 8-bit cart beat the remake on the same console, and I want to know if I'm crazy
Last month I set up my old NES on a spare TV in Fresno and played the original Metroid right next to the newer remake on my Switch. The old one felt tighter because every room made me draw a map on paper, while the remake kept pointing me where to go and I got bored in an hour. Has anyone else found an old game that beats its own remake, or am I just being stubborn about the cartridges?

Drawing your own map hits different, and that remake hand-holding kills it.
