That time a stranger corrected my dice roll at a con
At Gen Con last year, I rolled a D20 and it landed cocked against a rulebook. This guy next to me, total stranger, says my roll doesn't count unless it's flat. I got annoyed at first, but then he showed me how he reads the top face instead of the one closest to the table, and it clicked. We ended up playing three more rounds together and I never once argued a cocked die again after that. Anyone else have a rules-lawyer moment that actually made the game better instead of worse?
