Foreman said my tube sheet prep looked like I did it with a grinder and a prayer, so I bought a $12 set of scrapers
Cut my cleanup time in half on the last two drums at the Gary job, still a little salty about how he worded it though lol. Anybody got a better tool for getting into the tube holes or is a scraper the best it gets?
You really think twelve bucks worth of scrapers is the answer here? Half your time savings probably came from finally paying attention instead of from the tool itself. Scrapers only get you so far, a decent wire brush on a drill will eat that crud out of the tube holes way faster once you get the hang of it. Foreman was a jerk about it but the guy wasn't wrong that your prep needed work. Tools don't fix technique, they just make bad technique a little quicker.
