The bonus hole at my club in Boise used to eat balls, then they changed one thing
I play at a muni in Boise that added a bonus hole back in 2019 for tiebreakers, and for the first two seasons it was just a muddy pit that swallowed everything. Last spring the greenskeeper finally dropped a real cup liner and sanded the whole thing, and the difference was night and day. Balls used to plug or roll off into the weeds, now they sit up nice and you can actually putt it. The hole plays about 85 yards from the tips and gets used maybe twice a month for shootouts. Did your club ever rebuild a bonus hole, and did it fix the drainage or just make it too easy?
