I finally got my monstera to fenestrate after 8 months in a north window
Tbh I was about to give up on this plant. For the first 6 months I had it in a south facing window in my Denver apartment and it pushed out 4 new leaves but every single one was solid with zero splits. I moved it to a north window last November and within 10 weeks the newest leaf unfurled with 3 fenestrations on each side. The only thing I changed was light intensity and I stopped rotating the pot every week so the stems could actually lean toward the glass. Has anyone else noticed fenestration is way more about light angle than fertilizer?
