Just realized grow lights beat window sills for my succulents, wish I switched sooner
I had my jade plant and echeveria on a south facing sill for like 2 years. They were always stretching out and looking pale. Last month I grabbed a cheap 20 dollar LED bar from Amazon and set it up on a shelf. 3 weeks in and the new growth is compact and actually colored up. The window just wasnt enough light in my area, even in summer. Anyone else make the switch and see a big difference?

Damn, SAME! I fought with my windowsill for years thinking I was doing something wrong. Got a cheap grow light last winter and my echeveria finally stopped looking like a sad little Dr. Seuss plant. The color change alone was worth it, they actually look purple now instead of just green mush.
