Picked a fern over a monstera for my bathroom corner, zero regrets

I had $30 for a new plant and stood in the nursery for 20 minutes trying to decide between a Boston fern and a monstera for my tiny bathroom in Austin. I went with the fern because that corner only gets indirect morning light and the monstera would have stretched out weird. It's been 3 months and the fern is thriving with weekly misting, but has anyone else's fern just randomly drop fronds for no reason when the AC kicks on?

The AC kicks on and the humidity drops, that's usually the trigger for a random frond suicide. Try setting the fern on a pebble tray with water instead of just misting, it evens out those dry spells.
