Rant: that $35 ab roller from a mall kiosk in 2019 is still under my bed and I still can't do one rep

So back in 2019 I was walking through the Hamilton Place mall in Chattanooga and this guy demoing an ab roller talked me into one for $35. I got it home, tried it twice that week, and my back hurt so bad I shoved it under the bed and forgot about it. Found it last Saturday while looking for a lost phone charger, and guess what, I still can't do a single clean rep without my lower back screaming at me. Three years ago I told myself I'd get my money's worth, and it's still sitting there collecting dust with the box. Funny thing is I bought a $12 yoga mat around the same time and I still use that thing almost every day. Did anyone else get suckered by a mall kiosk demo, and did the thing ever actually work out?
