The mortar work on that new bank in Salem is a joke, guess I'm not crazy for staring
Drove past the new bank going up on Commercial St in Salem last Tuesday and their bed joints are running 3/4 inch thick in spots with heads barely filled. I pulled over for 5 minutes just to look because I thought maybe I was losing it, but nope, straight up sloppy work. Anybody else catch bad work out in the wild and have to fight the urge to knock on the trailer door?

Spent 20 minutes last month staring at a half bricked wall behind the Wendy's on Lancaster because the guy was buttering the whole brick instead of just the ends. My wife asked what I was doing and I had to admit I was grading another man's mortar like some kind of unpaid inspector. The head joints were so bad you could read a newspaper through them, and I still catch myself slowing down every time I drive past to see if it fell over yet.
