Swapped my breaking saw for a bandsaw, halved my cleanup time
Used to break down beef hindquarters with a hand saw for 8 years, took me 20 minutes a side and left bone dust everywhere. Last month I finally grabbed a used Hobart bandsaw from a shop in Portland for $400. Now I'm done in 8 minutes and the bone edges are so clean I barely have to trim. Anyone else make the switch late and wonder why they waited so long?

Biggest thing nobody tells you is to keep a spray bottle of water near the saw, stops the bone dust from floating everywhere. Also sharpen the blade every couple months, a dull blade will tear the meat and leave shreds you gotta clean up. Your cleanup time will drop even more once you get the cutting rhythm down.
